Easier said than done, yes, but remember that at the end of the day, tomorrow is not promised. All you have is today and this moment.
Seeing friends who value working, who enjoy new interests and challenges, setting themselves testing new projects can sometimes cause resentment, envy, jealousy and even prompt sarcastic comments regarding how much they do.
Sure you want cars, house and lot, and profit-generating businesses in the future. And I’m certain you’ve been working day and night to achieve your long-term goals – but there are a few things you could be missing in the process – your ‘now’. How does your ‘now’ look like?
Before you accusingly think, “oh, she’s watched this and now she’s some inspired feel-good fairy”, I’m going to stop you right there and agree with you. You’re damned right. This inspired me so much that I make conscious decisions for my retail therapy now (or lack thereof post-watching), and it has also inspired me to share what I learned after watching it.
I’ve always it found it difficult to share when I’m asked, Why do I do what I do. If I said: “I want to help others”, to me, it sounds pretty lame. Everyone is helping someone in one way or another.
I’m here to tell you, the vast, green meadow isn’t good enough. You need to step out of your comfort zone to experience more in life. You can’t sit still and let life pass you by.
