Halo. It is a game franchise the players speak of in hushed tones and awed whispers. It was one of the greatest First-Person Shooters to ever come to the PC, and then finish its life as an Xbox Console Exclusive. Now, every PC gamer who was left hanging at the end of HALO 2, can finally experience the full story of Spartan-117, the Master Chief at last.

“Ske7ch,” also known as Brian Jarrard is the lead at Bungie Net and confirmed that the Halo Master Chief Collection is coming to the PC. He credits the Subreddit community played a significant role in making this a reality.

As a franchise, Halo’s roots stretch back in to gaming history, beginning in 2001 with Halo Combat Evolved, and the studio has promised to take things step by step to ensure that they give both newcomers and veterans of the Covenant War the best experience possible.

The steam store page currently lists this anthology collection as “coming soon.” This definitive collection comprises the Anniversary editions of Halo Combat Evolved, Halo 2, Halo 3, the Halo 3: ODST Campaign and Halo 4. Players will don the Mjolnir armor of Master Chief in over 67 campaign missions and 120 multiplayer maps. A true encapsulation of the Halo experience in all its glory. Master Chief himself said that “our duty, as soldiers, is to protect humanity… whatever the cost.”

Don the armor of legend, team up with Cortana, take the war to the Covenant and finish the fight.
