[Short Story]: Cikgu

“Oy pay attention lah! Stop passing around that paper” Cikgu Rina shouted. The kids in her class had been a pain in her behind for too many months. As a teacher she wants all her students to always be prepared and to be independent individuals. Recently they’d been up to more mischief than usual. Finals were coming up and she didn’t think they were ready. “Cikgu, can I go to the toilet?” Ashraf asked. “Toilet again? Stomach ache?” Cikgu Rina asked him. He just smiled and ran out of the class. She looked at her students and sighed. They were still passing about a small piece of paper. “Sudahlah. Give me that” she said as she snatched the paper away from Nur who was extremely reluctant. She opened it and read at the top, “Pelan Hari Jadi Cikgu Rina” scrawled in bad handwriting.
